Description
Whitehall 6-12 is seeking a Math teacher, starting the 2025-26 school year. The 6-12 Math department has 2 teachers. An applicant able to teach high school level Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II is required. Knowledge of Pre-Calculus and Calculus is desired as this position also supports students who take those courses through Montana Digital Academy or Helena College.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This list of essential duties is not exhaustive and may be supplemented.
•Administer appropriate district curriculum which is aligned with the state standards.
•Ensure the opportunity for all students to learn in a supportive environment.
•Create and maintain a constructive, orderly, and academically focused instructional environment.
•Analyze student progress and provide appropriate instruction.
•Provide a classroom management/discipline plan ensuring safety at all times.
•Ensure assessment guidelines and regulations are followed at all times.
•Work professionally with administrators, staff, parents, and community.
•Integrate appropriate technology as available into the instructional program.
•Participate in other job-related duties and activities as assigned.

•Demonstrate knowledge, skill, and ability to provide effective instruction in the classroom.
•Work cooperatively with students, parents, peers, administration, and community members.
•Guide the learning process toward achievement of curriculum goals.
•Establish and communicate clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects.
•Employ a variety of instructional techniques and strategies aligned with instructional objectives, in order to meet the needs of all students.
•Participate as an active member with other faculty and staff in daily interactions and in professional learning communities (PLC’s).
•Maintain accurate and complete records as required by law and district policy.
•Maintain and improve professional competence.
•Direct the activities of assigned non-certificated personnel.
•Communicate effectively both in writing and orally.
•Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the principal.

Salary and Benefits

Starting Salary up to $52,815 depending upon experience and graduate credits/degrees

Health Insurance benefit - per month district contribution of $533-$939 depending upon insurance plan selected
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Hold a valid Montana Class 1 or 2 Teaching License with Secondary Mathematics Endorsement, or be able to obtain via alternative licensure
