Superintendent
Hannah Nieskens has been the Whitehall Superintendent since the fall of 2019. Previously, Hannah was the Principal of Whitehall 6-12 (2015-2019). Hannah has also worked as a school administrator in Wolf Point and began her career as a teacher in Billings.
Hannah has earned several college degrees, including B.S. in Elementary Education from MSU Bozeman, M.Ed. Technology in Education from Lesley University, PK-12 School Administration from the University of Nevada Las Vegas, and E. Juris Doctor from Concord Law School.
In 2018, Hannah was honored by the School Administrators of Montana as Montana Principal of the Year. She was further recognized by the National Association of Secondary School Principals as one of three finalists for the 2019 National Principal of the Year award. In 2025, Hannah joined the select group of Superintendents nationwide who have attained National Superintendent Certification. Hannah was recently honored to be appointed by Governor Gianforte to serve on the State Board of Education; her term runs from 2025-2032.
Hannah has been happily married to her husband, Kelly, for 20 years, and they have three great kids. She is an avid reader in her free time and also likes spending time with friends and family, attending community sports events, gardening, and raising horses.
